Individual Curated Training

Behavior Consultation

Deep dive into your dogs behaviors and history

At the consultation, which is either conducted in person or remotely, we will discuss your dogs history, the current challenges you're navigating, and what you hope to achieve. The goal of this service is to also provide you with information on why your dog may be behaving the way they are, management you can begin implementing ASAP, a training plan and what services Volition K9 can provide. A personalized  behavior report and initial steps on what you can do next will be created and then emailed to you within two weeks after the consultation. This document are always able to be edited or revised if needed and can be provided to your veterinarian. These sessions are generally between 60 or 90 minutes long depending on the behaviors your dog is presenting with.

Current Rate: $150 for a 60 to 90 minute consultation

Includes personalized behavior report, training plan, and an initial document going over foundation skills/behaviors

Reactive Dog Crash Course

What is Reactivity?

Does your dog pull hard or lunge, bark loudly, snap or growl towards other dogs, people or things such as cars/bikes/etc?

If yes,  this behavior is known as reactivity. This Reactive Dog Crash Course will give you the ins and outs of reactive behavior. What is it, how it relates to you, appropriate management and the initial foundation skills. â€‹

This course is to help families who live with a reactive dog understand what reactivity is, learn what their dogs are communicating, and build beginner skills for safer and more successful walks. Skills learned in the later half of the session focus on attention, confidence in both the handler and the dog, and redirection. This is not a full reactive dog behavior modification course, and we will not focus on changing the root emotion. The intended goal is for families to learn more about their dog and learn management skills for their day to day life.

This course consists of one 1.5 to 2 hour consultation which gives us time to get to know your dog, discuss your end goal, and begin introducing hands on skills for daily management. You will receive a document afterwards with a summary of what we discussed and a step-by-step guide on the skills introduced. This handout may also include recommended readings, either books, online articles, or free webinars/learning courses to expand your knowledge. You will also receive two once a week 30 minute follow-up video calls to check-in with progress and answer any questions. In the 30 days after the initial session, you will receive unlimited email support and the ability to send in videos for the trainer to review and provide feedback on. The option to either buy a coaching package or an individual coaching session will also be provided.

Pre-requisite: Free 15 minute consultation

Disclaimer: For dogs with behavior issues more advanced, such as serious aggression, reactivity towards more than one trigger, extreme separation distress, or in-home aggression towards household members or other resident animals a behavior consultation may be required first.

Crash Course Rate: $185 for the initial session, two 30 minute calls, and unlimited email support for the 30 days after.
Discount for individual coaching session when crash course is completed: $115 a single 1 hour session

Discount for package of 4 or more: $100 a session for a package of 4 or more.
